Government firm Proximity has officially opened its new offices in Barton.

Proximity is a local success story, headquartered in Canberra and owned and managed by two young Canberra locals Sean King and James Dunn.

It’s one of the only Canberra based law firms undertaking significant Commonwealth Government legal work in a market that is otherwise dominated by out of town national and global businesses.

Working with leading designers, the new Proximity office is a flexible and modern workspace that encourages team work and collaboration, and reflects the firm’s innovative approach to doing business.

The locally owned and operated business won the prestigious title of 'Government Team of the Year' at the 2017 Lawyer's Weekly Australian Law Awards, and holds a number of other awards including 2016 Australian Boutique Firm of the Year from the Australian Law Awards, and Top 30 Innovative Firms of the Year in 2016 by Australasian Lawyer Magazine.

Proximity makes a significant pro-bono contribution to a number of charities in Canberra including Menslink and the ACT Law Society’s pro bono clearing house and legal advice bureau.

In addition to providing innovative services to clients, Proximity has a strong reputation for great staff engagement and providing a flexible and supportive work environment for its employees.
