Nominations for the 2018 Future Leaders Program, implemented by The Board of Canberra Business Chamber, are now open.
Beginning in 2015, the Future Leaders Program is aimed at developing young leaders, by providing them with a means through which they can hone the skills needed to serve as Board Directors in the future.
The program is run in partnership with the Australian Institute of Company Directors and includes a mentoring arrangement with an existing Board Member of the Chamber. It will allow the successful applicant to develop their skills regarding board governance and processes. The program commences in February 2018, running for 12 months, and
A core component of the program is the attendance of Board meetings, as an observer, which gives the successful applicant access to invaluable practical experience and the ability to apply the theoretical knowledge learnt during the program.
To be eligible for nomination for this program:
You must possess solid industry experience in your area of expertise, operating your own business or holding a business leadership role.
You or the organisation for which you are employed must be a financial member of Canberra Business Chamber
You must be able to commit to approximately 10 Board Meetings each year and other activities such as business forums, task forces and member engagement events
