Nominations are now open for the 2017 ACT Women's Awards, recognising the achievements of women in our community.

The ACT Government would like to hear about women of all ages and all backgrounds who have helped make a difference in our community.

 

 

This year the awards will recognise exceptional women in three categories including ACT Woman of the Year; ACT Senior Woman of the Year; and ACT Young Woman of the Year.

Recipients of the awards will have made outstanding contributions and demonstrated excellence in improving the status and lives of women and girls in the ACT.

 

 

The Awards will be presented as part of celebrations of International Women’s Day which is held annually on 8 March to recognise women’s achievements throughout history and across nations.  The ACT Women’s Awards links the achievements of women living locally with International Women’s Day celebrations.

The ACT Government is committed to building a community where women and girls equally and fully participate in the economy, their community and their city.  These awards recognise and encourage women who are working successfully towards this vision.

 

 

All nominees will automatically be considered for ACT Woman of the Year. Nominations will close on Friday 18 November 2016.
